The City of Hope is pleased to announce the date for its 2013 HopeCuts Mid-Atlantic event, which will be held Sept. 15, 2013, at participating salons along the East Coast. The City of Hope is encouraging attendance and participation by all of its supporters, including longtime advocate Glenn Fulcher of Telford, Pennsylvania. Glenn Fulcher of Telford has actively supported the City of Hope and its programs for many years.
The HopeCuts Mid-Atlantic event brings together stylists from salons in Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, all of whom will donate their time and efforts to help raise money and support cancer and HIV/AIDS research at the City of Hope.
Established in 1913, the City of Hope celebrates 100 years of providing compassionate patient care and innovative breakthroughs that can lead to promising new therapies. The City of Hope is one of 41 comprehensive cancer centers in the country that has been designated by the National Cancer Institute.
Fulcher, a longtime supporter of the City of Hope, currently serves as vice president and business representative for the Teamsters Local 830 Union in Philadelphia, where he resolves grievances, negotiates contracts, and promotes scholarship programs for the children of union members.
